Course Sponsorship

 Program

The Course Sponsorship is a program that has been developed in the College of Industrial Management (CIM) at King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM). This is primarily a teaching program that aims at connecting CIM students with the private sector to benefit both.

Idea of Course

Course Sponsorship Program

  1. The program is based on the realization that:

a.      Many courses in CIM have projects that are business related.

b.      Many businesses have opportunities, challenges, or problems that could be addressed by these course projects.

Therefore, the program aim at meeting these two needs for the benefits of all involved.

2.      The program assumes and welcomes participation of businesses who understand and appreciate that students learning and meeting the course objectives are paramount.

Process of

Course Sponsorship Program

Objectives of

Course Sponsorship Program

1.    To enhance the learning of our students by adding relevance and real life business problems to their courses.

2.    To enhance the commitment and sense of responsibility to our students by connecting them to a real client with specific time and performance expectations.

3.    To give businesses the opportunity to achieve part of their social responsibility by supporting and working with our students.

4.    To give businesses the opportunity to let our bright students explore with them some of the problems and issues that they may wish to be investigated.

5.      To give businesses the opportunity to have an efficient way to either study a problem fully or give it a good initial exploration that could be beneficial for further and deeper investigation.
